Colorado and Washington state passed laws on November 6th legalizing the production, possession, and use of Marijuana for recreational purposes.
Oklahoma is currently reviewing a proposed legislation to legalize medical Marijuana and a decision should be made within the next couple of months. I urge everyone to keep an eye on this and contact members of the Oklahoma government to voice your approval; even if you don't live in Oklahoma, or don't have an interest in Cannabis, this is another step closer to freedom of choice for everyone and we must make sure the world knows we approve.
I am eager to see the proof from Colorado and Washington that wide spread Marijuana use has no negative economic or social repercussions.
Marijuana is still illegal on the federal level, but the Justice Department and the DEA are remaining silent. Seems they don't know what to say about the individual states exercising their constitutional rights. The president's a confirmed pot head, which certainly helps.
May you find what you seek, Alice
