I'm going to leave this here because I may be starting back on this medication. It is a mind altering chemical, in a way, and since it is an ADHD medicine has a relation to amphetamines. I will keep a log of my journey with this. I find it very hard to spiritually connect to anything synthetic but I will track what occurs. Yes, it does fit the poison path because I think we need to be conscious of everything that goes into our bodies. I will be doing more research about the drug to see how it is actually made. It will take some doing but I feel I can. Once I get the medicine and focus better lol... I have taken it once before for a couple months. It was ok but I felt spiritually it just kind of shut me off from it. I'm trying it again because it's the only medicine my doctor wants to keep with at the moment. Honestly, I think a little aderal might help since I abuse caffeine so greatly perhaps just one of those pills instead of 4 sodas would work more effectively but the Dr doesn't want to give up on the concerta yet. So, I'm going to give it an honest try again. We will see.

while I can understand your sentiment, I do find that there are many synthetics with great spiritual potential. While not incredibly uncommon, there are a few synthetics that I enjoy using entheogenically.
Now bear in mind that overuse of caffiene is, as you said, an unhealthy habit, caffiene is more natural and in my opinion much less harsh on the mind and body than amphetaimine analogues.
I'm not trying to discourage you from using concerta, but have you tried any natural remedies for ADHD? Apple cider vinegar shows a lot of potential for treating ADHD. Also magnesium as well as zinc deficiency has been linked to many cases of ADHD, so increasing your magnesium intake may help. More naturals that help are siberian ginseng (by upping work output and promoting alertness by increasing brain activity) and gotu kola and green oats similarly act as stimulants.
Ginko leaves also increase blood flow to the brain and speeds the metabolism of glucose in the brain, which is beneficial to those with ADHD

Ginseng has been most beneficial. Also replacing artificial sugar with more naturals like honey. It helped but everything in moderation I take vitamins that also helps. I find the key to a balanced life is eating in moderation with nutritious food. I mean the medicine won't cure anything it is merely trying to show my brain how it feels to focus in the hopes I will know that feeling and be able to make it happen easier. That is why I feel trying this medicine under the care of an excellent doctor should help give me a point to start getting the mind set I need to set up the long term solutions and lifestyle changes. Caffeine is ok but moderation. I will probably post on caffeine too.
